This was our second River Basin Planning consultation under the Water Framework Directive.
The first consultation was Working Together, where we sought to engage with other interested parties, and discover what links we need to develop with other plans and strategies.
This consultation set out what we believed to be the most significant issues that face each River Basin District in England and Wales. Consulting on these issues is a:
- necessary step towards a River Basin Management Plan, and
- requirement of the Water Framework Directive.
We consulted on Significant Issues between 24 July 2006 and 24 January 2008. The consultation documents and our responses to the comments received can be viewed by downloading the links to the right.
