In Wales we operate a mobile air quality monitoring laboratory. It helps local authorities and us to ensure that the quality of air is good enough to protect people and the environment.
There were no changes to the laboratory specifications in 2005 /06.
During 2005/ 06 we used the mobile air quality monitoring equipment at:
- Aberthaw Power Station
- Pen-y-ffordd, Flintshire, to monitor Padeswood Cement Works.
- Pen Lôn, Anglesey-to monitor ammonia releases from poultry farms.
- Trecatti Landfill Site, Merthyr Tydfil
We have published an annual report on the activities of the laboratory as well as reports of our findings at individual sites.
This report contains details of the deployments as well as an account of progress with the project.
