On 15 December 2009 the Secretary of State published the second progress report detailing the progress Government has made implementing the recommendations contained in Sir Michael Pitt’s report into the 2007 summer floods.

Progress report on the Government’s response to the Pitt Review - June 2009

In June 2009 the Government published the first of it's six monthly reports on the progress made implementing the recommendations in Sir Michael Pitt’s independent review of the 2007 summer floods.  

Government's response to the Pitt Review - December 2008 

The Secretary of State published the Government's response to Sir Michael's review on the 2007 summer floods.  The Government's action plan will help to ensure that, as a country, we are all better prepared for flooding - before, during and after it happens.

Independent Government Review of summer 2007 floods - June 2008

On the 25 June 2008 Sir Michael Pitt published his final report into the summer 2007 flooding.  The report examines both how to reduce the risk and impact of floods, and the emergency response to the floods in June and July 2007.
