Fish Ageing

We provide a scale and otolith ageing service that supports the our fisheries monitoring programme. Through the ageing of fish, their growth, life-history, mortality and spawning success can all be investigated and in part understood. This provides our Scientists with information that can be used in making fisheries management decisions.
