Public consultation extended – Barton Renewable Energy Plant

The Environment Agency has today (10 July) extended the consultation period, to allow people to comment on our draft decision to issue an environmental permit to Peel Energy for the Barton Renewable Energy Plant.

The deadline has been extended till the 15 August 2012 to allow people to give their comments on the draft decision. 

Gordon Whitaker, Environment Manager for Greater Manchester, said: “Following consultation meetings we have taken the decision to extend the deadline in order to allow people to comment further. The public consultation will now run until the 15 August. “
