Cookham Lock is only operable by handwind between the hours of 22.00 and 07.00. We are working to switch this lock over to 24-hour public power.

||Bourne End Railway Bridge
Remedial Works to Bourne End Railway Bridge (PDF, 66KB)
Work is needed to apply a new protective coating system to the existing bridge structure and undertake critical structural steelwork repairs. This will incorporate building a fully-sealed, purpose-built access scaffold.
Scaffolding will be erected on the two river bank spans first, leaving the centre span navigable. When the work to the river bank spans is completed, the scaffolding will be cleared and re-positioned under the centre span, leaving the two river bank spans navigable.

||Tadpole Bridge, between Rushey and Shifford Locks

Restrictions will be in place during vital repairs. Boats may be asked to wait for up to 30 minutes while divers are working in the water. Lock staff at Rushey and Shifford will have the latest information. Please follow signs and any directions given by the safety boat. Navigate slowly and with caution in the area of these works.

Henley Royal Regatta course construction (PDF, 67KB)
All boats travelling downstream must navigate on the Berkshire side of the river within the regatta course. All boats travelling upstream must navigate on the Buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire side of the river.
Boats may cross from one side of the river to the other provided they do not impede any boats travelling up or downstream.
No mooring is allowed within the regatta course booms at any time. No mooring is allowed to the bank in the vicinity of the site of the former Fawley Court Boathouse.

The Navigation channel shall be established on the Middlesex, Shepperton side of the river.
Racing boats will be using a buoyed channel between Walton Marina and Gridley Miskin’s Wharf on the Surrey, Walton side of the river.

The Navigation channel shall be established on the Eton side of the river.
Swimmers will be using a buoyed channel between the A332 Windsor/Eton Relief Road Bridge to Firework Ait, Windsor on the Windsor side of the river.

The Navigation channel shall be established on the old river channel at Shepperton.
Racing boats will be using the Desborough Channel which will be closed to navigation between 08.00 and 18.00.

During the morning of 2 June 2013, a large flotilla of predominantly traditional vessels will be mustering adjacent to Temple Island.
During the afternoon they will take part in a procession finishing at the Henley Town Council moorings on Mill and Marsh Meadows.

Racing boats will be using a buoyed channel between Albert and Victoria Bridge on the Windsor Castle side of the river.
