River and sea levels

We measure river and sea levels across England and Wales by collecting data from our monitoring stations along the rivers and the coast.

Use the map below to locate monitoring stations for data on current, normal and highest river levels in a chosen area. Alternatively use our text only version of the River Levels service.

On 1 April 2013 Natural Resources Wales (NRW) will take over the responsibilities of the Environment Agency in Wales.
