What did Phase 1 cover?
Following the severe flooding in October 2000, we have looked into ways of reducing flood risk in Uckfield through the Uckfield flood alleviation scheme. As a result, we are installing a flood wall around the Somerfield car park, next to River Way.
For further information about the Uckfield flood alleviaton scheme please refer to the newsletter attached below.
The construction is starting in early May and will last approximately 13 weeks. During this time we will keep disturbance to a minimum. We will be using a maximum of 30 spaces in Somerfield's car park, with the majority still free to use. The Somerfield store will continue to operate as normal.
If you experience any disturbances caused from the work taking place then please fill in our feedback form below and email it back to us at:
Alternatively, telephone Kent & East Sussex External Relations on 0370 8506506
Information on the progress of this scheme will be updated at regular intervals.
