Greening Regional Development Programmes
"Greening Regional Development Programmes" (GRDP) is an EU-wide network formed in 2004 to help regions create jobs and growth in a way that protects the environment.
GRDP partners want to demonstrate to organisations involved in regional development that there are clear benefits in integrating the environment in their development policies, strategies, programmes and activities.
The network developed a 40-page toolkit to assist organisations to integrate green issues and the environment into regional development.
The GRDP charter gathers the key principles for environmental integration. Organisations are invited to use the toolkit and sign the charter to show their commitment to sustainable development.
