The River Thames Alliance is a partnership of public and private sector organisations which helps to manage the non-tidal River Thames.
The Alliance co-ordinates plans to rejuvenate the River Thames through the Thames Waterway Plan. This plan provides the framework to achieve our vision for the River Thames:
The River Thames Alliance is supported by a Management Group with representatives from:
- Environment Agency
- River Thames Society
- Reading Borough Council
- West Berkshire District Council
- South Oxfordshire District Council and Vale of White Horse District Council
- Surrey County Council
- British Marine Federation - Thames Valley
- Mid-Thames Riparian Landowners
- Community Sports
- Thames User Group
The Environment Agency acts as the secretariat for the River Thames Alliance, which also has the support of the government Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).
Management Group meetings
The River Thames Alliance Management Group meets throughout the year. This year, its Annual General Meeting will be held in November.
