If you are a licensee (under the Nuclear Installations Act 1960) you will need a permit:
- For the receipt and disposal of radioactive waste
- For the use of mobile radioactive apparatus off-site
If you are a tenant on a nuclear site you will need a permit:
- For the receipt and disposal of radioactive waste
- For the use of mobile radioactive apparatus off-site
- For the keeping and use of radioactive sources
You will need to submit an application for a permit. There is a separate RSR application form. The document “The regulation of radioactive substance activities on nuclear licensed sites” provides guidance on what activities require an RSR environmental permit on nuclear sites .
