April 2012 transitions

If you are a customer who has a Paragraph 13 or Paragraph 21 exemption registered, you will no longer be able to carry out your waste operations after 5 April 2012 unless you have either:

  • registered for a new, free of charge waste exemption (if you meet all the conditions and limits) or,
  • have made an application for an environmental permit.

If you have a Paragraph 12 exemption, you need to act before 30 April 2012. Follow this link for more information:

If you do not wish to register the new exemption or apply for a permit you must stop your waste operation.
