Surrendering (giving up) your permit

If you no longer need your permit you must surrender it. You can also surrender part of your permit, for example if you want to remove a facility or reduce the area of land your permit covers.

Below are the application forms and the guidance notes to surrender your permit. Please note: You will need Adobe Version 7 or later to be able to use the electronic forms. Alternatively, you can print out a copy of the form and complete it by hand. 

All applicants must complete Part A and either E1 or E2. If you are surrendering a permit for installations, waste and mining waste operations only, you must also complete form F1.

If you want to tell us that you are surrendering (i.e. giving up) your permit for a standalone water discharge (formerly called a discharge consent) or groundwater permit (formerly called a groundwater authorisation) you must fill in Part E1:

If you want to apply to surrender (ie give up) your permit for installations, waste and mining waste operations only, you must fill in Part E2:

Part F

Only installations, waste and mining waste operations need to complete part F1.
