Ambient air data analysis

Our Ambient Air Monitoring Team has written a piece of software to analyse ambient air monitoring data.

This software is called the Toolbox Macro and has been written specifically to carry out the majority of the analysis techniques mentioned in Technical Guidance Note M8. 

It is written in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and runs in Microsoft Excel. 

Functions performed by the Toolbox Macro include:

  • Time resolution;
  • Wind rose;
  • Pollution rose;
  • Diurnal analysis;
  • Day of the week analysis;
  • Calendar month analysis.
