Ensuring Quality of waste-derived products to achieve resource efficiency (EQual)

EQual is a part funded LIFE+ programme that will encourage the use of products made from waste.

The three main aims of the programme are to:

  • produce an end-of-waste e-tool that will enable businesses to decide whether a product is waste
  • demonstrate the environmental performance of waste-derived products through a series of field trials
  • produce a QP checker e-tool that will enable businesses to assess their compliance with a quality protocol (QP), (a waste product that has been recovered and so is no longer classed as waste).

Through EQual we aim to fulfil the potential of the waste protocols concept and enable it to achieve the goal of self sustainability, for the benefit Life logoof the waste industry, waste policy makers and regulators in Europe.EQual logo
