Improving Guidance on Regulations for Enterprise and the Environment (iGREEN)

Improving the delivery of environmental advice and guidance

Unfortunately we will be closing the iGREEN project due to a change in circumstances within HMRC. We are working closely with the EU to close the project effectively.

LIFEiGREEN is an EU LIFE+ funded programme that will provide a package of innovative solutions aimed at improving the delivery of environmental advice and guidance to businesses.

iGREEN logoRegulatory guidance for businesses can be complex, and often businesses are overloaded with information. This may prevent businesses from understanding environmental advice and guidance.

We aim to help businesses by researching how aware they are of environmental messages. The research will provide the evidence to help develop key products that meet the needs of the customer.

Objectives and outcomes

Our overall aim is to improve the delivery of environmental advice and guidance to businesses.

We have four further objectives that will be met through the three years of the programme, running from January 2011 to December 2013.

Projects

iGREEN aims to simplify the delivery of environmental messages.

We will develop a legislation list generator, user personalisation, learning tools, environmental checklists and a video streaming facility. We will also conduct customer research.

Partners

iGREEN is an EU LIFE+ funded programme.

It is a joint programme between the Environment Agency, HM Revenue and Customs, Northern Ireland Environment Agency, Scottish Environmental Protection Agency, and Waste and Resources Action Programme.
